: Add new recording problem

If I add a new TV recording I receive an error saying: "Error creating record for '#####'." (#### replace with program name to record). This doesn't happen with all programs.

In the attached debug file I tried 3 programs to record. The first two failed and the third succeeded.

I hope you can help me to solve this.

Hi,

I can't see the problem in the server logs. The command sent was ok, but the WMC addin returns an error. Please send me the mcc_addin_debug.txt from the following directory:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\MCC Addin

Hi,

nothing special to see in the logs. I will add a more detailed error message for the next version.

Maybe you can see the problem in the Windows event logs?

I am also having this issue of not being able to record from the app and getting the message 'Error creating record for <SHOW TITLE>'

Event viewer is not registering any error for these record attempts. It does show a log (without errors) when I first launch the app and it connects the PC and Media Center but any time I try to set a recording after that nothing new shows in the Event Log.

Attached is my mcc_addin_debug.txt

The relevant parts seem to be just the bit at the very end:

Another thing I notice is that although I do have recordings scheduled for future programs (that I set in Media Center on the PC) when I go in the app to TV > Recording Schedules it comes up with an empty list.

I can, however, bring up the list of already recorded programs in TV > Recordings and view those since they are now actual saved video files on my PC and the app is finding them okay.

Hi, can you please reproduce the error and look for the xml file located at
"%localappdata%\MCC Addin\record_xxxxxxx.xml" and attach it to this thread?
