: MCC not showing ALAC/lossless audio
: StefanWhoo November 30, 2011, 21:49:20
MCC v1.6.1
I have both MP3s and M4As (Apple Lossless) in my WMC collections. MCC only 'sees' the MP3s.
Bug or known limitation?

Hi,

by default MCC is only listing WMP's default supported files. If you like to, you can add your own extensions for MCC. Just have a look into the user manual. http://mediacentercontrol.com/en/files_android/MCC-User%20Manual.pdf

Oh. I have looked into the manual and I missed to add the ExtAudio.

File extensions for audio
You have to change the following registry value.
Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MCC
Name (String): ExtAudio
The value contains the extension without points, stars or any other special character.
Several extensions have to be separated with a semicolon. Example:
M4A;RA

That did it. Thanks.
You may want to update the manual and/or keep this post up in the meantime. I can't believe I'm the only one listening to lossless audio in WMP/WMC.
