My Movies (to my knowledge) simply just calls Daemon Tools with the ISO name, and then "hit the DVD" button, so it should be fairly easy?

OK, I assumed that since the solution I used pops up in the normal FM radio interface (I dont use FM radio, only streaming) that there was a way for you to pull out the list from the Media Center itself. I used to have an iPhone and there is an application called vmcMote, and that was able to read out the streaming radio stations which I added in the way I described to you. If you find a way to do that, then you would support FM radio and streaming in one hit.

I know that there are people whom use the "big streaming services" with hundreds and hundreds of streams, but when I look at my friends, usually people have 5-20 streaming stations maximum they use. Entering them into an extra file is not a lot of work (at least not from my point of view).

You could start by coding the interface from the phone side and make a simple xml file for adding radio stations, then you can always build later on adding more "features" from the server side (support for FM in WMC, the solution I gave, shoutcast and all that), but your work on the phone side would not be wasted?

I had to uninstall 1.5.4. because it made my Media Center freeze up. Problem started started after upgrading from 1.5.3 to 1.5.4. After 10-30 minutes of idling, it would freeze (not even when using the remote software, so the plug-in must be the culprit).

I had to kill MCE in task manager and restart, but as soon as it idled next time it would freeze up again.
Problem disappeared after uninstalling (and then I went away for 4-5 days, but girlfriend says problem disappeared).

Did you try to create the directories I suggested in my other post describing how to add internet radio stations?

If I remember correctly that made the Radio pop-up with a friend of mine which doesn't even have an FM tuner installed. I never saw this "official" post before, and never tried it.

I hope you consider using the "built-in-radio" feature for it, as that would enable FM radio support as well.

Nice, just for your testing, if you do this:

1.  Create this directory (enable hiddens dirs): C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\Media Center\Media Center Programs\Radio\

2. Create the file with notepad "<radio station name>.htm" with these entries:
Code: [Select]
<script>
function IsMCEEnabled()
{
return true;
}
window.external.MediaCenter.PlayMedia(1, "http://www.dr.dk/netradio/Metafiler/asx/dr_world_128.asx" );
window.external.MediaCenter.Experience.GoToFullScreen()
window.external.MediaCenter.CloseApplication();
</SCRIPT>

You can replace the http://** with another stream

3. Save a logo of the station "<radio station name>.jpg"

4. Create the file with notepad "<radio station name>.mcl" with these entries:
Code: [Select]
<application  name="Name of Radio Station"
 url="<radio station name>.htm"
 startimage="<radio station name>.jpg"
 thumbnailimage="<radio station name>.jpg"
 description="Description of the station"
 category="1"
 companyname="">
 <capabilitiesrequired  directx="false"
    audio="true"
    video="false"
    intensiverendering="false"
    console="false"
    cdburning="false"
 />
</application>

Then restart WMC, and enter the "standard" radio app in WMC, the station will pop-up. Nice and clean streaming implementation without any additional apps/plugins + it works in parallel with FM radio.

All the information in the mcl file is read by WMC and displayed on the screen, so I am sure there is a way for you to read out that information directly from WMC instead of from the files.

Hmmm sad to read this.... there is no were on the website that you mention this limitation in radio. When I see an advert for a program to control Windows Media Center, and it lists radio as an option, my first assumption is that it controls the Radio function within MCC. To my knowledge DVB-T radio isnt even supported out of the box in MCC?

Is this on a future feature list to support the built in radio in MCC? It was the primary reason for me to buy this application, as I want to change radio stations without turning on my TV.

(FYI, if you support the standard MCC radio, then streaming will also work, as you can add in streaming radio stations to the "FM tuner" list in MCC).
