Android Support / Can't use The function bar
« Last post by roger on May 31, 2012, 23:10:34 »
Hi,

The connection between the client and server works fine.
For example i can see my albums, and play music, etc

But when i hit one of the buttons on the function bar things go wrong.
When i hit a button, the screen flickers for half a second, it states there is "no connection to a computer" and goes back to the home screen.

I can't use any of the buttons, so i can't reach the "settings" either.

greetings Rogier

Hi,
I feel silly. I though it would stream music to my phone.
However, just using it as a remote is really great.
Thanks for the update.
Regards,
Lawrence :)

Hi again. The problem should be fixed now. Please download the server from here: http://android.mediacentercontrol.com

Because I have not created a new version, you can't update (install over old version) the new server. Please uninstall the server on your Windows machine from control panel first. Then install the new downloaded version and set the folders in the server settings.

Hi, MCC is not designed to play back the music on the Android device. It plays on your Windows computer. MCC is "just" a remote control.

I'm currently working on the Vista folder problem. It should be sorted out in a few days.

Thanks for your reply.

PC Win Media Centre works fine. Volume works OK on the computer.
After I connect my phone to the PC, I get the music folders on the phone and can see the content.
I select to play, and can see the timer moving in the lower phone screen, but no music can be heard.

Other apps (like Radio ones) have sound on my phone, so maybe it's not a phone setting. Could it be related to the port - should I use another setting?

When do you think you will have the Vista folder issue sorted?

Regards.

Hi, first I have to say that the Vista media folders are broken in MCC. I will do my best to release a fix soon. Sorry for that.

I'm understanding you? The music starts playing in the Windows Media Player, but you can't hear anything? You can adjust the volume in Windows as you do normally.

Tried another port & can now get the music - however, while I can see, select & play I can get zero volume -(no sound). I don't need headphones, do I??
Checked all the volume settings on both PC & phone HTC X1.

Hi, thanks for reporting this. I will install Vista x64 and have a look.

Have you tried set another network port? http://forum.mediacentercontrol.com/index.php/topic,476.0.html

Android Support / Connects but doesn't give folder content
« Last post by lawrenceg on May 30, 2012, 09:02:08 »
Hi,
My phone connects with my Vista PC, (Media Player setting), I see the folders but nothing shows in any of the folders after it does a brief search. The pop up shows "connected to 192.168.10.41" (correct address). But I get no media content. When I click back, it shows "No connection to computer - this is while the IP address is still flashing.
I note that on my PC the folder addresses are incorrect, but I cannot change them. These are the Path to : Video, Radio, Records, in the advanced settings. I cannot change them. Maybe this why I get no content.
Help me please!

Hi, yes it should work with Chinese, Japanese, and Korean characters. But I have never tested it or got a report back from a user. If you like, you can test it for me.  ;D
Anyway, you have money back guarantee if MCC doesn't work for you. Do you use a chinese Windows?
