Hi Bert, the Run Media Center Control task is running MCC if an event is raised by the MCC service. It will raise an event if you try to connect your Android and MCC Server isn't startet or after an update was installed.

It's hard to say what is going wrong there. Most important is that all Windows updates are installed on the mashine.

(be warned, it will delete some data and you have to manually patch (Windows update) the system again

Do a clean Windows 7 install (recommended)
