Video Movies in MCC
To be able to browse movies in MCC, the following conditions must be met:
  • Each film must be stored in a separate folder, with the name of the movie.
  • In each of these folders have a "mymovies.xml" file to be found.
  • In the MCC server settings, you must specify the folders in which the movie files are stored.

MCC reads the metadata from the "mymovies.xml" files. These files are created by the program "My Movies Collection Management". You can optain "My Movies" can free of charge at

Furthermore, the "folder.jpg" files in the movie folders are read and displayed in MCC.

Media Browser and Co.
Other film databases are not directly supported. It it is not a problem using another Media Center add-in for movies, e.g. "Media Browser". There is no need to use the "My Movies" add-in. What is needed is the "My Movies Collection Management" only.
