when i first open the install app and click install step 1 error -1 comes up

when i first open the install app and click install step 1 error -1 comes up and the program goes back to the install screen with step 1 and 2 on it and the application doesn't install please help?!

Hi, can you post the complete error message please.

the dos screen comes up flashs information for less then a second then the following error comes up in a box

there was an error while installing. error code -1

and all you can click is ok

the previous old version of the software installed from your link to the 1.5 version but as you know that software doesnt work with the app as it is out dated I installed it as a test

the first thing the installer does is installing scheduled tasks to later perform updates and automatic server starts. Maybe your Windows Task Scheduler service is deactivated?

hi i found it but when i run it it also errors with the below

the selected task "{0}" no longer exists. to see the current tasks, click refresh

the task scheduler service is not available. task scheduler will attempt to reconnect to it.

i can seem to activate it with these errors?

I'm not sure if this is the issue though as the older version installs was the scheduler added since the previous version??

Yes.

Try the following:
Press Start (Windows Key)
enter "services.msc" and press enter
search for "Task Scheduler"  (in german it is "Aufgabenplanung")

What is the startup type for the Task Scheduler?

Hi sorry for the late reply it says automatic and when i go into the properties menu its shaded out and I cant change it ?
