Audio .wv Wavpack plays as Video

I have a problem with playing wavpack files. MCC states he cannot play .wv (wavpack) files because they are categorized as video. Ape and Mp3 plays well.
Default programm for extension on htpc was for testing purposes media player, vlc player, foobar - without any impact on mcc.

MCC is configured for Media Center in version 1.61.

Any ideas?

please try to add .wv (WV) to the Audio Extension of MCC like it's described here:

Upps, my fault not to read the manual carefully enough...

But, Changing the mentioned Reg Setting on Extdoes not show any impact:

MCC can see the file as Video, WMP &Mediacenter can play it, but not if triggered from Android Smartphone.

It is still not possible to initiate playback of a WAVPACK file via MCC.

I changed the WMP tag Extender as well the codec for WAVPACK with no luck.

Any ideas?

Hi, I will have a look into this next year. First I have to get some WavPak files.

Hi I have now tested it. For me WV files are working normal if I add WV to ExtAudio registry key. The only thing which isn't working is getting the proper play time back from the player.

I have created the file with WavPack cmd line from here:

I have installed the DirectShow Filter   Windows installer from CoreCodec.org also from this source.

Are yo sure you don't have done something wrong. Like putting music into the video library or adding WV into the ExtVideo Key or something? 

I have found the bug. 

Anyway I wanted to publish an update in the coming days. This problem will be fixed then.
