Unable to connect unless logged in
« on: February 16, 2012, 00:48:42 »
Hi,

First let me say I'm very impressed with MCC so far. I've been looking for something like this for a while and this does everything I want and looks very good too.

It works very well once connected and running, however I'm unable to connect from the client unless I'm logged in on my PC running MCC server.

Is this expected behaviour or have I miss-configured something? If its expected is the only way around it to disable Windows UAC.

Thanks

Hi,

your computer must be logged in with the user MCC was installed with. Thats correct. But why disableing the UAC?

My solution is to use MCE Standby Tool and configure the autologon. You don't need MCE Standby Tool for autologin, but it has some other nice features.

Thank you for your reply.

Disabling UAC is a bit extreme I agree.  I hadn't considered auto login.
Thank you for the link, I will download and evaluate.

Would it be feasible to include an auto login procedure within the mcc client in future releases?  Is this even possible or have you considered it and ruled it out?

You don't need a tool. You can do it like that:
